This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what happens to it. It covers thelogiclantern.com and is written to describe what the site actually does rather than every hypothetical.
The short version: there is no advertising, no tracking cookies, and nothing is sold or shared with data brokers. The only information collected is what you deliberately send, plus anonymous aggregate statistics about which pages get visited.
Information you give us
You only provide information by choosing to. That happens in three places:
- Booking a call — the scheduling tool collects your name, email address, and anything you type into the booking form. This is used to hold the appointment and to contact you about it.
- Emailing us — whatever you put in the email, held in the business email account.
- Using the AI demonstration — the messages you type, including any business name you enter. See the section on the AI demonstration below.
Information collected automatically
This site uses privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics. It records aggregate counts of page views and where visitors came from. It does not set tracking cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you to other websites. That is why there is no cookie consent banner — there are no tracking cookies to consent to.
Standard server and network logs, including IP addresses, are kept briefly by our hosting and network providers for security, abuse prevention, and reliability, as is normal for any website.
The AI demonstration
If an interactive AI demonstration is available on this site, it works as follows.
Your messages are sent to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. Conversations are recorded and emailed to us so we can review how the demonstration performs and improve it. Those transcripts are stored in our business email account.
The demonstration is a simulation. Any business it appears to represent is fictional or is a name you entered yourself. It is not a real business, it does not make real appointments, and nothing it says is a binding offer, quote, or commitment.
Please do not enter sensitive information into the demonstration — no health information, financial or payment details, government identification numbers, passwords, or anyone else's personal information. It is not built to receive that kind of data.
How information is used
- To respond to you and to hold scheduled calls
- To provide and improve services you have asked about
- To understand, in aggregate, which parts of this site are useful
- To review and improve the AI demonstration
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse
What is never done
- Your information is never sold
- It is never shared with advertisers or data brokers
- You are not added to a marketing list because you used this site
- No tracking cookies or cross-site advertising trackers are used
Service providers
A small number of third parties process information in order to run this site. Each handles only what its function requires, and each has its own privacy policy:
- Hosting and analytics — serving the site and counting page views
- Network and DNS — routing traffic and filtering abuse
- Scheduling — running the booking calendar
- Email delivery — sending messages generated by the site
- AI provider — generating responses in the AI demonstration
- Rate limiting — preventing automated abuse of the demonstration
How long information is kept
Booking and email correspondence is kept for as long as it is useful for the business relationship, and then deleted. AI demonstration transcripts are kept while they are useful for improving the demonstration.
You can ask for anything you have sent to be deleted, and it will be, unless there is a legal reason it must be kept.
Your choices
You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email the address at the bottom of this page and it will be handled — there is no form to fill in and no department to escalate through.
Children
This site is aimed at business owners and is not directed at children under 13. Information is not knowingly collected from children. If you believe a child has sent information through this site, get in touch and it will be deleted.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when the site changes what it collects. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
